International students can pursue on-campus employment for up to 20 hours per week during the school year, and for up to 40 hours per week during summer and winter breaks.

Curricular Practical Training (CPT)
Curricular Practical Training is required authorization for any international student seeking to participate in any type of off-campus experiental learning opportunity.
Optional Practical Training (OPT)
If you are an F-1 student, then Optional Practical Training allows you to work off-campus in your field of study for 12 months.
STEM OPT
If the CIP code on your I-20 is STEM eligible, you can apply for a 24-month OPT extension.
Academic Training
Work authorization for J-1 students, Academic Training, allows you to gain experience in your field of study, generally after your completion of studies.
