The Intersection Lounge is a welcoming and flexible space located in the Center for Student Engagement. Designed for community-building, reflection, and dialogue, the lounge is ideal for small gatherings and events that foster connection and conversation. Throughout the semester, the Center for Student Engagement will be hosting drop-ins for a variety of students to connect with one another across shared interests. All are invited and encouraged to join.
Reserve the Intersection Lounge
Student organizations are invited to reserve the Intersection Lounge. Whether you're hosting a planning session or a celebration, the Intersection Lounge offers a comfortable environment to bring your organization’s goals to life. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Student retreats hosted by the Center for Student Engagement offer participants a chance to step away from campus and dive deeper into personal growth and self-awareness. These retreats create space for connection, growth, and the skills needed to build supportive communities at USC and beyond.
The Center for Student Engagement offers Alternative Break trips during both academic breaks that provide students with unique opportunities to travel to historically significant locations and engage in meaningful civic service.
The CSE Leadership Council is a dynamic group of student ambassadors and peer mentors working in the Center for Student Engagement dedicated to building a more connected and empowered campus community. Through workshops, retreats, and service opportunities, the Council prepares students to lead with purpose, support their peers, and serve as role models who foster belonging and engagement at USC.
The Multicultural Assistance Peer Program (MAPP) is open to all first-year and transfer students and is especially supportive for those building community at USC. MAPP connects students with trained peer mentors who provide guidance during the critical first year of college. The program fosters academic success, personal growth, and meaningful connections across campus.
EmpowerMENt is a campus initiative dedicated to help men at USC thrive in every area of life—academically, socially, and personally. Whether you're looking for mentorship, connection, or a space to grow, this initiative creates opportunities for men to support one another and succeed together.
Carolina Conversations is a collaborative program hosted by the Center for Student Engagement and the Leadership and Service Center that creates space for students to engage in meaningful dialogue around leadership, values, and personal growth. Through guided discussions and interactive activities, participants explore how to lead with authenticity, navigate complex challenges, and better understand themselves and others.
The Student Life Legacy Awards honor exceptional students, student organizations, and professionals who demonstrate outstanding leadership and a commitment to community service. These prestigious recognitions, presented in collaboration by the Center for Student Engagement and the Leadership and Service Center, celebrates individuals who actively contribute to the USC community and make a meaningful impact beyond campus.
