Graduate Student Teaching Development

The Center for Teaching Excellence empowers GTA/IAs to contribute to USC’s instructional mission and goals with resources to help them develop their teaching abilities, learn effective teaching strategies, and explore new classroom instruction techniques.

I just wanted to tell you thank you. The PFF program, TTIE certificate, and TOGS short course all helped me get my current faculty position and I am including them in my movement in rank packet. I know that they helped because I was asked about them in my interview! Now that I am teaching at an institution heavily focused on teaching, I am so SO appreciative of the experiences I was afforded as a student. I had no idea then what a positive impact they would have on my career trajectory. I've found myself using resources on the CTE website in the last year because I know when it comes from the CTE it is going to be quality information. In case you don't hear it enough.... You are awesome and I truly appreciate what you and the CTE contributed to developing me as an instructor!
