How to schedule your Pre-Orientation Academic Advising appointment

You must complete Part 1 of the Cocky Transitions modules prior to scheduling an advising appointment. Students who have paid their enrollment deposit and registered for New Student Orientation can access the Cocky Transitions - Part 1 modules through your USC Admissions Portal beginning in May.

On the final page of Cocky Transitions --Part 1, you'll find instructions and a link to schedule your Pre-Orientation Academic Advising appointment.

Get in the habit of checking your USC email for communication from your advisor after completing the Cocky Transitions modules. This is the primary form of communication you will receive from your advisor this summer. 

Honors College students: Please refer to the Honors College for information on honors-specific incoming first-year advising processes. 

When to schedule your Pre-Orientation Academic Advising appointment

Students will be given access to schedule their appointment through Cocky Transitions - Part 1 based on your New Student Orientation date.

May 7 | Students registered for NSO sessions 1-3 (June 1-2, June 3-4, June 8-9) can begin scheduling

May 21 | Students registered for NSO sessions 4 - 6 (June 10 -11, June 15 -16, June 17 -18) and June 19 Fall Transfer Orientation can begin scheduling

June 4 | Students in all remaining NSO sessions can begin scheduling 

Students should plan to schedule their advising appointment for at least 3 days prior to their registered New Student Orientation session.
