Background

Taylor Ramp, a seasoned professional with a diverse background in sport administration, business education and marketing, joined the David and Nicole Tepper Department of Sport and Entertainment Management within the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management at the University of South Carolina in August 2024. She successfully navigated roles in educational institutions, professional and collegiate sports, and corporate environments to establish a career defined by a commitment to excellence, leadership and a passion for sports and education.

Prior to joining USC, Ramp spent six years teaching at a pair of high schools. She taught sport and entertainment marketing and management courses and was pivotal in developing a comprehensive curriculum, mentoring new teachers, and enhancing the educational experience for students. Her tenure at River Bluff High School was marked by leadership in both the classroom and on the athletic field as head softball coach. 

Ramp’s professional career also includes positions with the NHL’s Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena, Duke University Athletics and IMG College, MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays, the NFL’s Tennessee Titans, and Vanderbilt University Athletics further enhancing her expertise in sport and entertainment marketing, ticket sales, and event management. While a member of the Predators, her coworkers awarded her the Lady Byng Award for "Best Sportsmanship" for the 2011-12 season.
