Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Jeannie received her bachelor of science in biology from Furman University in 2020 and her master of arts in higher education from the University of Michigan in 2022.

For the past three and half years, Jeannie has served as a well-being coordinator here at USC where she has advised peer health educators and developed programs focused on student well-being. She also serves as a University 101 instructor. Jeannie is passionate about helping students build meaningful connections, prioritize their well-being and find the resources and opportunities that support their academic and personal success.

Jeannie is excited to join the Honors College and support Carolina’s Top Scholars. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and their two dogs, Loki and Rosie. She loves trying new restaurants around Columbia, exploring the Riverwalk and hosting game nights for her friends.
