The Department of Mathematics seeks a full-time Instructor to teach eight undergraduate courses across the academic year (e.g., college algebra through calculus) and contribute light departmental service (~10%). Instructor (11-month, start Aug. 16, 2026)

We’re hiring a full-time Instructor (11-month) to teach eight undergraduate courses and support coordination of large service courses (e.g., curricular improvement, data analysis, learning center/course oversight). Assistant Professor Discrete Mathematics  

The faculty of the Department of Mathematics at the University of South Carolina, Columbia campus, invites applications for a 9-month, full-time, tenure-track  position at the rank of assistant professor to begin August 16, 2026. The position is in the area of discrete mathematics in a broad sense.

The position requires a Ph.D. in Mathematics, by the start date of the appointment, an outstanding research record, a commitment to effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a demonstrated potential for excellence in both research and teaching.
